| Information | https://www.sjcourts.org/wp-content/uploads/PRO-PER-CLINIC-flyer-540.pdf Do not bring children to the Pro Per Clinic or to the workshops. People are seen on a first come, first served basis. The workshop sign-up sheet is posted at 8 am Monday through Friday at the Pro Per Clinic window. We recommend that you sign up for the workshops between 8 am and 8:30 am due to the limited space. The building opens at 7:30 am. All cases not requiring a workshop will be assisted at the Pro Per Clinic. You will need to take a number and have a seat in the hallway until your number is displayed. You must bring your most current order and all other paperwork associated with your case. If you do not have this information, you can order your file online by clicking on “Online Services.” Your file will be available at the Pro Per Clinic the next morning. All files will be returned each Friday. If you need a domestic violence restraining order contact Victim Witness at (209) 468 - 2500 or the Women’s Center at (209) 941 - 2611. All persons who are In Pro Per and acting as their own attorney are encouraged to have their forms reviewed by the Family Law Facilitator before filing or presenting the papers to the Court. |
Who We Are
A family law facilitator is a lawyer who works for the superior court in your county to help parents and children for free. They can provide information on things like establishing paternity and creating child support, spousal support, and partner support orders. They can also assist with filling out court forms, calculating support amounts, legal referrals and referring you to other organizations that help parents and children.
