| Information | Limited self-help clinic in Fort Bragg at the Ten Mile branch Courthouse. If possible, bring blank forms ready to be filled out, as well as all relevant court documents and information. Clinics are generally held on the second and fourth Friday of each month, but dates are subject to change based on holidays and other events. |

| Information | The Family Law Facilitator can help you in preparing your own forms and give you general information. The Family Law Facilitator cannot go with you to court, cannot assist you if you are represented by an attorney, nor handle family law property issues. The Family Law Facilitator is not your lawyer, but a neutral person who does not represent any parent or party. There is no attorney-client relationship between you and the Family law Facilitator. The Family Law Facilitator may provide information and services to the other party in your case. Communications between you and the Family Law Facilitator are not confidential. You should consult with your own attorney if you want personalized advice or strategy, to have a confidential conversation, or to be represented by an attorney in court. Who We Are
Self Help Centers can assist with filling out paperwork and understanding court processes. However, the staff at these centers do not give legal advice or provide legal representation. This is because they are open to everyone in a community and must be able to provide help to both parties in a court case. Self Help Centers are a great option for people who are representing themselves in court or when they aren't eligible for legal aid.

| This group provides the following types of services based on your legal needs and its resources: |

| Description of Services | Unable to provide assistance with criminal cases, bankruptcy or immigration, or unlawful detainer (eviction) cases. Staff at the SHLA Center does not give legal advice, but they can give answers to procedural questions such as which forms you need to file, or what just happened at your legal proceeding. They may also be able to give other agency referrals which may be helpful. There are packets of information and judicial forms available at the Self-Help Center. Videos, books and binders also provide useful legal information. There are also limited number of public access computers which directly link to the Courts website and to judicial forms. Services are provided on a walk in basis only. NO appointment is needed. |
