Who We Are

ALIGHT is a nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to helping human trafficking survivors by removing legal barriers that prevent them from rebuilding their lives. It connects survivors to pro bono legal support, ensuring they receive the necessary resources to overcome legal obstacles and achieve independence. ALIGHT mobilizes a network of attorneys across the U.S. to provide vital legal services, helping survivors navigate complex legal systems and regain their freedom.

Eligibility Restrictions

Eligibility:

1. survivor of human trafficking who
has a nuts-and-bolts legal need (see list of examples below)

2. has a connection to Colorado, Utah or the greater Los Angeles areas (where survivor resides or location need/initial harm took place)

3. is in financial need of free legal help

4. is working with a case manager or program advocate who can support them on their legal journey from start-to-finish

5. is ready and appropriate for legal services at this time
