Who We Are
Elder Law & Advocacy is a non-profit organization serving seniors in San Diego and Imperial Counties. EL&A's Senior Legal Services program provides legal services to individuals 60 years of age and older, regardless of income, through our base office and senior centers throughout the county of San Diego.
The basic service provided consists of a 30 minute counsel and advice session with a licensed attorney. Initial consultations are conducted in person, over the phone or via video conferencing.
Attorneys of Senior Legal Services are able to advise about a wide range of legal issues, including financial elder abuse, landlord/tenant problems, contractual disputes, consumer issues, and benefits problems. We are also able to prepare some documents such as simple wills, Advance Healthcare Directives, and Powers of Attorney. EL&A also helps qualifying family caregivers of elderly frail persons who are economically and socially disadvantaged or are isolated, homebound or institutionalized.
