Description of Service Types
The Self-Help Resource Center offers the following classes each week at 3400 W. Mineral King, Ste C, Visalia as well as inside the South County Justice Center, 300 E. Olive, Porterville:\n\nHow to start your divorce including child custody and support issues-\nEvery Wednesday: Arrive between 12:30 and 1:00 with a packet of divorce forms, a current pay stub and a list of any property or debts that need to be divided. Packets of forms may be purchased for $5.00 in Room 201 of the Visalia courthouse.\n\nHow to establish child custody, visitation and support orders for unmarried parents-\nEvery Tuesday: Arrive between 12:30 and 1:00. If a Voluntary Declaration of Paternity was signed, please bring a copy.\n\nHow to modify an existing family law order-\nEvery Thursday: Arrive between 12:30 and 1:00. Bring a copy of the most recent order and a pay stub if support is an issue.\n\nHow to complete your divorce\nOffered weekly: You must have an appointment for this session. Call 737-5500 with your case number to schedule an appointment. \n
