In conjunction with the Coalition on Homelessness, the Lawyers' Committee runs a program for homeless or low-income individuals who receive infraction citations for poverty citations, e.g. sitting, sleeping, camping, or drinking in public. The program matches volunteer attorneys with homeless clients and gives them the legal representation necessary to help get the citations and warrants dismissed so clients can access the services they need to exit homelessness.
