Disability & Employment Rights Advocacy (DERA) - Legal Services of Northern California
 
Other Information:
DERA assists applicants, current clients, and former clients of the California State Department of Rehabilitation in advocating for the rights under the Rehabilitation Act.  This advocacy includes negotiation for services or eligibility as well as representation at administrative hearings.  DERA also advises callers on their rights under Title 1 of the ADA along with providing referrals for other agencies that may assist the person contacting our office.

  First come, first served for DOR consumers that would like our assistance.
This group does not provide legal representation in court.

Counties Served:  Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Tuolumne, Yolo, Yuba
Interpreters can be provided for: Can arrange for translations in languages other than English.
Wheelchair Accessible: Y
Access for the deaf: TTY at 888-551-6188, Relay or Speech to Speech. Also, we will hire a sign language interpreter for meetings for clients at our office. Advance notice permits us to schedule interpreters.
