The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California, along with various local bar associations formed the Bankruptcy Pro Bono Project ("BPBP") to assist parties who have a bankruptcy/adversary case filed in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California. The BPBP clinics occur monthly throughout several Bay Area locations and provide free, limited legal advice to low-income individuals who do not have the services of an attorney. Please refer to the clinic calender to find out the dates and locations: http://www.canb.uscourts.gov/bpbp-free-legal-clinic-schedule
